Can an ovation guitar be plugged into an orange amp?
My guitar does have a plug in strap, and I'm talking about one of the mini orange amps. I need to know before i buy it
Yes you can plug it in. And yes, it will make noise. But no, it will not be an optimal setup.
The Orange amps are great for electric guitar, but amplifying an acoustic guitar is a completely different animal. For acoustic, you want something more like a small PA system than a guitar amp.
There are several companies that make amps especially for acoustic guitar...Fender, SWR, Trace Elliot, and Fishman are all the big players. On a budget, Behringer makes one that sounds surprisingly good.
Check out an amp make for acoustic guitar before you put any money on the counter.
