Whats the difference 'tween a Dean Soltero and a Gibson (or any other) Les Paul?
The Soltero sounds awesome so I intend to buy one soon...
But how about Les Pauls? Are Les Pauls as good as the Soltero is?
Or...is the Soltero sumkinda... "super advanced" Les Paul...?
I tried a Gibson St. LP in '03 and I remember that I didn't like it back then...for some reason unknown. Didn't play any LP's since then, thats why I'm askin...
In my opinion you can't go wrong with Les Pauls. I have never actually played a Soltero myself, but a friend of mine has and he isn't impressed. I own two Les Paul Studios, a Les Paul Classic and a Les Paul custom with humbuckers and Bigsby Tremolo. I find it that you can easily find pickups and parts for Les Pauls. Now of course if your on a budget then i would most definitely go with the Soltero out of the two, but if not then go with Les Paul. In addition, if money isn't a problem, might want to try a PRS McCarty 22 or 24 or a custom, those guitars are wonderful, I have two myself and they are the best playing ones in my collection.
