Hot Water Heater Pan Has Water in It?

I noticed water barely seeping from the acces door (where you can adjust the water temp.), seeping like 1 drop 1 minute. The pan is not getting full, just a little residual. The tank I believe IS NOT leaking because the seeping water is cold - Is it condensation? How do I fix it? Thanks

Check the fittings going in to the heater...carefully. hot, cold and the drain. Has the temperature in the room changed recently? Test the pressure relief valve, leave it open for a few. Nine times out of ten, when you think it's not the heater...It's the heater! Wishful thinking. How old is the heater, have you ever flushed it. Better to be safe, You don't want to come home to a floor full of water, unless your looking for an insurance settlement. Good Luck!
