Is it alright if I pick my Guinea Pig up while wearing leather gloves?
Well, ever since i was younger ive always been scared of picking up animals that are waaay smaller than Chihuahuas ever since I'd gotten bit by my hamster, and my gerbil, so now I own a Guinea Pig, and people say that they rarely bite. I understand that, but I still want to be careful, so I was wondering if it would be ok for me to pick up my Guinea Pig, Cocoa, while wearing leather gloves?
Also If Cocoa, were to bite me while wearing the leather gloves would I actually feel any pain?
If you guys could help me out that would be great.
Also I could really do without any smart allick comments so please save them for yourselves.

As long as You Can have good control with the gloves on, go ahead. As you get more and more confidence, you can try without the gloves. I have never been bitten by one of our own guinea pigs in over 40 years and only once by a guinea pig at all. That was while judging and was essentially while breaking up a potential fight.
Depending on the glove, it is possible that the teeth could go all they way through but it is unlikely
