Was my guitar re-strung wrong? New steel string sounds much different than the others?
I have all steel strings on my acoustic guitar, but today I had the 5th string replaced. It has a much more metallic ring to it than the other strings, which sound more clear. Thats just my opinion, but baseline the sound is much different, is this something that was done wrong or is it normal? It seems like it makes the chords sound a bit off-tune.
if you just changed one string.
your problem is the new string is the correct sound,
the other strings are dead sounding.
that's why I always change all strings, if the are more than a few weeks old.
